Inflation

Prices are rising in shops and stores.
Prices were found to have grown .7 percent in February against prices in January.
Food  prices which everyone has been noticing rose, appear to have stabilized, in
addition, we have also to contend with the VAT being raised to 20%.

At the beginning of the year, food prices rose by 1.6% compared agains December, by February
this was 0.3%. Stores like Marks and Spencers that have been consistently running lunchtime
combination specials in the city, seem to have pulled these special offerings for now.
